Understanding Your Role In Society

To make a meaningful impact in society, it’s essential to understand your role within it. The ancient Greeks categorized people into three groups: idiots, tribesmen, and citizens.

Only 10% of Africans are considered citizens, while the remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.

Idiots are individuals who lack concern for others and their community. They prioritize personal gain over collective well-being, often engaging in dishonest behavior. Idiots rarely participate in community activities, neglect their civic duties, and fail to contribute to the greater good.

Tribesmen, on the other hand, prioritize their tribe’s interests above all else. They view the world through the lens of their tribe, whether it’s based on ethnicity, religion, or other affiliations. Tribesmen can be divisive leaders, often alienating those outside their tribe.

Citizens, by contrast, are individuals who uphold the law, respect others, and work for the betterment of society. They are compassionate, honest, and driven to create positive change. Citizens prioritize the well-being of all, rather than just their own interests.

Understanding which category you fall into is crucial. Are you an idiot, a tribesman, or a citizen? Reflecting on your actions and values can help you determine your role in society. It’s possible for individuals to change their ways, with tribesmen becoming citizens through education and idiots transforming through training and law enforcement. However, electing untransformed idiots or tribesmen to leadership positions can have disastrous consequences.
