Nollywood star Oluwabukola Ajoke, popularly known as Bukky Wright, has opened up about her time away from Nigeria, her transition into the tech industry, and her much-anticipated return to the entertainment scene.
Speaking in an interview with Saturdaybeats, the veteran actress revealed how she embraced a new career in tech while living in the United States, a move that surprised many of her fans and colleagues.
“I will be practising it (tech) simultaneously with entertainment. The fact that I had to deviate totally from entertainment to tech was something many people thought I would not be able to do,” Wright said. “I tell my mentees, if I can do it, they can do it too.”
During her time abroad, Wright admitted she missed several things about Nigeria, especially the local delicacies and the camaraderie of working with Nollywood actors.
“What I would love to eat again would be proper Naija amala. What I would like to do again would be to act with Nollywood actors,” she shared.
Fans can now look forward to exciting new projects as the actress makes her return to Nollywood.
“I have a lot for fans, including my project, The Return of Omotara Johnson, which is coming soon, and many other things. I am back to stay,” she assured.
When asked about her timeless beauty, Wright credited her dedication to rest. “I don’t joke with my beauty sleep,” she quipped.
