Chief Bisi Akande, the pioneer national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured Nigerians that the country is safe under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, despite the current challenges. Akande stated that Nigeria has continued to grow stronger and more united under Tinubu’s presidency, and he is confident that the country will remain peaceful, developed, progressive, and prosperous.
Akande made these remarks at a one-day lecture organized by Arewa Think Tank in Kaduna, which was attended by prominent northerners, including governors Uba Sani of Kaduna State and Hyacinth Alia of Benue State. The event celebrated President Tinubu’s one-year anniversary in office and highlighted the theme “Our Diversity, Our Strength.”
Governor Uba Sani emphasized the importance of unity among Nigerians, stating that with a united purpose, the country can achieve peace and progress. He acknowledged the current hardship faced by Nigerians but expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, citing his commitment to democracy and the country’s well-being.
Governor Hyacinth Alia, the guest lecturer, stressed the need for national unity, emphasizing that religion should not be a dividing factor. He highlighted the importance of diversity as a strength and a unifying force, urging Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s efforts to build a more robust and prosperous Nigeria.
The event aimed to strengthen and encourage President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” which focuses on various aspects, including foreign investment, healthcare, education, good governance, and debt management. The speakers’ remarks emphasized the importance of unity, diversity, and collective efforts in building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
