Aero contractors announce reduced festive season airfare to N80,000

In a bid to ease travel costs during the holiday season, Aero Contractors has introduced a minimum ticket price of N80,000 for local flights across its routes.

The airline’s Managing Director, Ado Sanusi, announced this initiative on Tuesday during a press briefing in Lagos.

Sanusi described the initiative as part of the airline’s commitment to alleviate the financial strain on Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The discounted fares will run through January 2025 and are aimed at fostering connectivity among families during the festive season.

“We understand the economic hardship Nigerians are facing, especially with high ticket prices, and we know the holiday season is nearby,” Sanusi said.

“In the spirit of Christmas, Aero Contractors has introduced what we call pocket-friendly Christmas prices. These fares, starting at N80,000, will apply to all our destinations, allowing Nigerians to travel without excessive costs.”

Despite the new initiative, prices for Aero Contractors flights remain dynamic. On Tuesday afternoon, a Lagos-to-Abuja economy ticket was priced at N99,643, while business class tickets cost N189,167.

Sanusi explained that the special offer is tailored to ensure families can reunite without excessive financial burden.

“This is a way for us, as an organization with a long history of serving Nigerians, to give back to our loyal customers,” he said.

“We want to make it possible for families to meet their loved ones during this festive season without worrying about exorbitant travel costs.”

Sanusi assured customers that the airline had accounted for current economic realities and would maintain profitability despite the price reduction.
