Multi- billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote has flagged off a Ramadan free feeding program that has offered free breakfasting meals to over 10,000 Muslims in Kano State.
Also, the business mogul has distributed over one million bags of rice, estimated at over N13 billion, across the 36 states of Federation and Abuja.
The gesture, according to the Dangote Foundation, is aimed at easing the economic hardship faced by Nigerians at this time.
Daily Sun observed that the Ramadan meals included jollof rice, white rice and stew, jollof spaghetti, yam, beans with chicken and beef, packed with a bottle of water and drink which is extended to each beneficiary.
The meals were shared at Juma’at Mosques, streets, prisons, orphanages, remand homes, and other strategic locations in the metropolis and its environ.
A beneficiary who simply identified himself as Musa Maikatako expressed gratitude to Dangote for the philanthrophy which he added had helped him break his fast with ease.
Maikatako, who resides at Tarauni area in the metropolis observed that the feeding program would ease the sufferings of many people who could not afford to break their fast with a reasonable meal.
Another beneficiary, Hajiya Inna lauded the free meal program in her area by the Dangote Foundation.
“In this hardship where we find it difficult to eat even two times a day, but out of the blue moon, somebody presented this delicious food to me, it is highly commendable.
“I have nothing to say but to say a big thank you to you and to Aliko Dangote. I pray to Allah to bless you more and more,, “,she stated joyfully.
