The Lagos State Government has announced a planned closure and traffic diversion on a section of Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The temporary measure is aimed at facilitating the annual Christmas Youth Parade in the area.
The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, made the announcement on Monday, urging motorists to cooperate with the plan and adhere to traffic signs to minimize disruptions.
Road users are advised to use the following alternative routes: Motorists heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout from VCP Hotel will be diverted to Jubril Martins Street, then turn right onto Muri Okunola Street. They will then connect to Ligali Ayorinde Street, proceed to Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, and continue to Tokunbo Ademola Street to reach their destinations.
