The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has made significant leadership changes, appointing key executives to strengthen its operations.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, shared the new appointments aimed at boosting efficiency and corporate governance.
The changes include the appointment of Mr. Adedapo A. Segun as the new Chief Financial Officer. Segun, who previously served as Executive Vice President for NNPC’s Downstream sector, replaces Umar Ajiya as CFO.
“These appointments align with NNPC Limited’s commitment to building a unified and competent leadership team,” the statement read, emphasizing the company’s focus on operational excellence.
In addition, Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Downstream, while Udobong Ntia steps in as the new Executive Vice President, Upstream, taking over from the outgoing EVP, Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan.
NNPC expressed gratitude to the departing executives for their service, stating, “The Board and Management extend their deepest appreciation to Mr. Umar Ajiya and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan for their outstanding dedication and service to NNPC Limited.”
