We are still retooling and rejigging our financial system to deliver quality life—Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has again affirmed that Nigeria is going through a tough time, noting that his administration is still retooling and rejigging its financial system to bring prosperity and relief to the people of Nigeria.

He made the assertion on Saturday at the inauguration of engineering infrastructure in Guzape District Lot II in Abuja.

According to a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), while praising the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, who he said had “provided exceptional leadership at a trying time for the country,” the president stated: “It has been a very challenging time for us in the country. We are still retooling and rejigging our financial system to bring prosperity and relief to the people of this country.”

He said his administration is prioritizing people-focused development by providing essential infrastructure and amenities that will improve the quality of life for citizens.

President Tinubu told the minister: “You have demonstrated the capacity to build a team, lead a team, and deliver on promises. I commend you, well done.”

Tinubu advised the Guzape community to embrace the idea of compensation for their property rather than resorting to litigation.

He stated that he has no plot in the area but has the mandate of the people to deliver a good quality of life and a living environment.
